A fundamental fascination for our surroundings and our relation to them is at the core of all our work. Our curiosity of the underlying stories, processes and values increase as we observe, investigate and immerse ourselves further. We seek a balance between function, and an aesthetic leaving room for associations, perceptions and the experience of the individual.
Vera & Kyte is an award winning Norwegian design studio comprising designers Vera Kleppe (b.1988) and Åshild Kyte (b.1983). The studio was established in 2013 shortly after completing their MA degree in design at the University of Bergen.
Since then their work has been widely exhibited and acclaimed internationally. Their renowned expression has been developed through a curiosity for form, material, color, and understanding the relation to objects and spaces that shape our everyday life. Their work spans the fields of furniture, object, lighting, and spatial design. Pairing a playful curiosity with an analytical approach, the studio is driven by a passion for creating meaningful, honest and optimistic designs in close collaboration with their clients.
