Impossible/Possible Vol. I – OSLO DESIGN FAIR 2020
The theme Impossible/Possible is important now because many of the challenges we face seem seemingly impossible to solve. It is a theme that raises questions and hopefully encourages critical reflection. We take a closer look at how to furnish good, lasting homes and examine what it takes to feel connected to our surroundings, both inside and outside the walls of our homes.

As designers, we are naturally concerned with how the objects we surround ourselves with affect us. One aspect is the functional value the object can have as a utility item—another is the emotional, associative, and personal value. The elements that create this positive experience vary according to age, life situation, interests, and personality. This individuality is part of what makes working with the home as a theme exciting.

The exhibition explores how we can create homes for the future with a focus on sustainability, where color and material choices, art, and designed objects work together.

This exhibition has been developed by three different contributors: the designer duo Vera & Kyte, visual artist Andreas Siqueland, and curator Kirsten Visdal, each with a different approach to both style and aesthetics. This collaboration has been both challenging and rewarding and has left its mark on the exhibition.
